Phase 2 :: Day 5

Movement skills / Deceleration & Acceleration / Change of Direction 

(Focus: Further Develop Speed, agility, and multi-directional movement)

Set-up: Place a foot-long band of tape on floor (approximately 1 foot in length and 2 to 3 inches in width).

General principles to follow:

Keep chest up, eyes forward, shoulders down and core engaged

Always work on balls of feet through middle or centre of hurdles/cones

Keep upper body centred and between hurdles as much as possible (for exercises 1 and 3); this will create positive angles where you will feel push off inside or outside edges of feet - similar to being on skates


Entire-body Lift (Focus: Build Muscular Endurance & Strength)

Complex A: Perform all exercises straight through to complete a single ‘set’

COMPLEX B: PERFORM ALL EXERCISES STRAIGHT THROUGH TO COMPLETE A SINGLE ‘SET’
